When is the last time you went outside your comfort zone and tried something new? Right, you say, I can barely keep up with what I have going on!  Then again, how often are you looking at the kids with their face buried in a screen, and tried thinking of alternatives. STAYING WARM IN THE WATER

Are your kids cold in the pool, ocean or lake? I keep thinking back to a comment I heard from a swim instructor at a trade show, stating his boy students were always cold. (Pause - Here I just have to give a cheer for the bit of extra fat we woman carry!) At that time we were discussing whether TrustyTrunks, leakproof swim diaper solution, would or could provide extra warmth. Many instruction pools these days advertise warm water, so I was surprised by the question. DRAWING ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BRAIN

Education is such a complex and complicated topic. Even though I don't have kids in school, it's a topic that I pay attention to because I believe it is the responsibility of the entire community to educate it's children. While it's discouraging to hear of art, music and gym being cut. I've also heard of new, additional programs that sound worthy of including, such as:  A program to prevent bullying A program called Let Grow, which encourages kids to do something new that may require a parent to let go while they Let Grow Nutrition and eating healthy With all this as a backdrop, a book has come to my attention again, Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain....
