When you think of kids and cruises, the first line that comes to my mind is Disney Cruise Lines.  So, I was shocked to learn that kids who are not potty-trained are not allowed in the pools on Disney Cruise Lines. They do have a splash park where the wee ones can cool off and enjoy some water fun, but still... After much more research, I learned that there is a CDC (Centers for Disease Control) regulation prohibiting all cruise lines calling at US ports to allow toddlers not potty-trained to swim in the pools.  NOW the Disney Cruise Lines rule made sense. So, don't be upset with the cruise lines, the CDC has implemented this rule for the safety...

Well, it’s important enough that the CDC, Centers for Disease Control, has numerous articles on the topic.  Here is one article and excerpt:  “Check yourself!
